OUP and Hodder Education Titles

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dear Colleagues –

In August 2009, Hodder Education sold some titles in the disciplines of English and History to Bloomsbury UK.

Apart from the divested lists, Hodder Education titles are still represented by OUP USA in the American market and by OUP Canada in the Canadian market. So for most Hodder titles, there has been no change in distribution arrangements.

Our US office has now transferred the divested titles to Macmillan, who represent Bloomsbury in the US. But in Canada, OUP Canada has arranged with Bloomsbury to continue to market and sell the divested titles to Canadian customers.

You may have received correspondence recently from Macmillan regarding the change in distribution and ordering. This change affects only the United Sates – not Canada. There is no need for Canadian customers to return or reorder stock.
