Valerie Zawilski is associate professor in the Department of Sociology at King's University College, Western University. She specializes in political sociology, social movements, terrorism studies, and inequality. Prior to her current position, she was a visiting professor in the Royal Military Academy in Brussels, Belgium. She has also taught at Wilfrid Laurier University, Queen's University, Trent University, the University of Waterloo, and Laurentian University. She was an editor on the two previous editions of Inequality in Canada for Oxford University Press Canada.
