New Series on Real Estate from Oxford and Homburg

The Homburg/Oxford University Press Advances in Real Estate book series is motivated by the belief that while the built environment literally structures a multitude of facets of modern society, it is sometimes overlooked that Real Estate, as an academic discipline, encompasses the spectrum of the technical, social, and human sciences.

There are vibrant research agendas underway within each discipline, but fewer opportunities for inter-disciplinary work.  Our mission is to create a space in which academics from across the disciplines can explore issues in Real Estate collaboratively, each bringing a unique insight, conceptual framework, method, and imagination to bear on common issues and problems.  Our belief is that the sum of these ideas is greater than the parts, and we look forward to fostering conversations that push the boundaries of the discipline in original and thought-provoking ways.

Our mission is also to foster global, comparative, and inter-cultural research, by encouraging collaboration across borders.  Real Estate is a global practice, and a plurality of perspectives adds dynamism to the interrogation of old questions, and often raises entirely novel and interesting questions.

The Homburg/Oxford University Press is supported by an Editorial Board composed of respected academics in a range of subject areas in real estate, in numerous countries across the world.  Together, we hope not only to create the space for such interdisciplinary and international dialogue, but to play an active role in promoting it.

We encourage authors to submit manuscripts or ideas for manuscripts.  Please, consult the Editorial Policy, and contact us to discuss publishing opportunities in the book series.
