Welcome to the Natural Hazards web site, which accompanies Physical Geography: The Global Environment, Canadian Edition, by H.J. de Blij, Peter O. Muller, Richard S. Williams, Jr., Catherine T. Conrad, and Peter Long.   Earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms, and floods: all of these are dangerous, hazardous events that occur in the natural world as a result of physical processes.
