OUP and the Environment

OUP Canada is committed to making greener choices—both in how we run our business every day and how our books are produced.

Our Green Committee works to find sustainable ways to lessen OUP’s ecological footprint through changes to our office policies and practices. We are working to reduce our energy consumption and to establish more efficient waste diversion and recycling processes.

A large majority of the books OUP Canada publishes are on FSC-certified paper containing substantial percentages of post-consumer waste. All of our book printers are FSC-certified and work with us in maintaining environmentally-sensitive production processes.
